Some dreams live in our hearts for a long time. They stay with us for years, quietly growing with each idea and every vision – until the moment comes when you say: Now or never!

There are chefs and then there’s Kurt. For almost 20 years, he has been at the stove with us, not only the most handsome chef in South Tyrol, but also officially undefeated: never once on sick leave, always with a smile on his face, and to this day, we still don’t know whether he or his dishes are more attractive.
Kurt is one of those rare people who doesn’t just cook he seasons his stories with heart, humor, and a pinch of craziness.

For more than 30 years they have been walking through life hand in hand – both privately and professionally. Monika and Martin, our “M&Ms,” are not only the hosts at Hotel Anewandter, but also a well-rehearsed team leading around 25 employees. Their story began back in their teenage years – friendship turned into love, and love into a shared life journey.

When spring arrives in Ahrntal and the first warm rays of sunshine reach the mountain peaks, the most beautiful time for a hiking holiday in South Tyrol begins.
Alpine roses paint the slopes in soft pink, the mountain air is fresh and clear, and everywhere you hear the sound of waterfalls and alpine streams.

It begins quietly.
Before the Ahrntal is fully awake,
before voices drift through the clear mountain air
and the day begins to gather pace.
A first coffee on the sun terrace.
The mountains lie still,
as if they had all the time in the world.
The air is crisp. Still cool.
And somewhere between sky and peaks,
summer in South Tyrol quietly arrives.
