An abundance of activities can be discovered here, you can be sure to find something to suit your taste: Long hikes through natural preserve Rieserferner-Ahrn, summit tours to one of the 84 10.000-foot peaks or leisurely walks to one of the over 150 farmed Alpine huts, hang-gliding and paragliding, mountain biking, river rafting on the river Ahr, canyoning, free horseback riding on the Anewandter farm, fishing, climbing on the high wire garden, horse trekking, as well as tours with experienced mountain - and hiking guides. Numerous museums and summer festivals round off the offer.

From the beginning of June until the end of August, the natural pond with a large sunbathing area on the outskirts of Gais is very popular with families. Try a bike tour to the lake, the bike trail takes you from the Anewandter Historic Hotel or the Anewandter Farm right to the lake. Refreshing cool drinks are available at the "Pirata-Bar”, which looks like a pirate ship.
